WELCOME!

You're in a safe, judgment-free place.

My name is Michelle and I’m the Head Coach at the Anger Mastery Academy. I'm a Certified Anger Management Specialist (enter 32097), multi-certified Life Coach & professional course creator.

I help people regain control over unhealthy & destructive anger by offering online courses and optional coaching sessions.

MY MISSION

To make this world a happier & safer place by equipping people with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to transform their destructive anger into personal power.

Anger and other difficult emotions have caused a great deal of pain and suffering for me and my family, to the point I was even hospitalized. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't escape the never-ending storm inside my head or seem to control the constant chaos happening around me.

Fortunately, those dark and dreary days are long gone thanks to the medical help I received, the coping skills I later learned in coaching school & the personal wisdom I've gained through many years of practice. Now my goal is to teach others what I’ve learned & what I wish someone had taught me earlier in life.

MY WORK life...

As a former competitive gymnast, my first job was as a Gymnastics Coach. Later, I transitioned into banking where I started out as a part-time teller, then gradually worked my way up the corporate ladder to become a Regional Trainer, Operations Manager, and finally a Technical Writer where I wrote policies, procedures & training curriculum. Sadly, my banking career ending after 21 years of service due to an unexpected mass lay-off, however, I didn't let that stop me! Instead, I used my experience to build my own business.

MY HOME life...

I'm a native of Jacksonville, FL and I currently live in a small town located just north of Jacksonville on the Florida-Georgia line. I’ve been blessed with two amazing sons who are at the center of my heart and the driving force behind everything I do. I recently tied the knot for the 3rd time (don't judge) on the beautiful shores of Destin Beach. I was too young for my 1st marriage, too broken for my 2nd, but as the old saying goes...3rd times a charm. I also have a sweet little pound kitty named Milo that I absolutely adore (he's our 3rd child).

MY FUN life...

I graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, so I love designing my business graphics & website. In my free time, I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music (especially live), watching a good psychological thriller or true crime documentary, exploring nature, and collecting magnets everywhere I go. But more than anything, I love spending time with my family & friends. I finally have a peaceful life that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I also have a lifelong fascination with Bigfoot (don't laugh) which explains the AMA’s mascot Sam.

As you can see, I'm just your everyday person trying to make through this crazy life just like you. I don't claim to be anyone special or to have all the answers. I simply enjoy adding value to this world by passing the knowledge and wisdom I've gained to others so they can benefit from it as well. Teaching is my true passion!

MEET SAM

Sam the Sasquatch happened to be the Anger Mastery Academy's first graduate. His improvement was so impressive that I made him the AMA's mascot. Here's the inspiring story of Sam's transformation in hopes of encouraging others.

SAM before...

Sam's name isn't by accident. He earned it because he Sucked at Anger Management. Before the AMA, Sam had a terrible temper and a reputation for being a "hot head." His short fuse and combative nature caused him to lose several friends as well as a few good paying jobs. His intimidating behavior kept him from forming close bonds with others, which left him feeling lonely and hopeless in his search for love. He'd even been arrested for duking it out with a convenience store clerk and spent 6 months in jail on top of a $3,000 fine. Sam knew that something needed to change, or his fiery temper would continue to ruin his chances of having a good life. He realized he needed help, so he enrolled in the AMA and committed to finishing all 12 weeks. It wasn't easy at first, but with time and practice, he started to see progress.

SAM after...

Sam learned techniques that went far beyond just breathing and counting to 10. He learned to identify his anger triggers & how to control them in a productive way. He also learned how to regulate his thoughts & emotions which helped him to effectively communication during challenging situations. Week after week, he became more personable, and his relationships began to improve. He even began dating again! Sam was no longer known as the "angry guy"; but instead as someone who was working on improving himself, earning the respect of those around him. By the end of the program Sam had made significant progress, but he knew he still had work to do. With continued effort Sam was able to turn his life around and become the poster child for calm, cool & collected. Sam is now Successful at Anger Management.

Sam is a living testament that change is possible and the importance of seeking help when you're struggling. I'm looking forward to hearing your success story after graduating from the Anger Mastery Academy.
